MS Excel: Set the print area in Excel 2003/XP/2000/97
Question: In Excel 2003/XP/2000/97, I don't want to print all of the data in the sheet. How can I set the print area so that only a portion of the sheet shows up on when I print?
Answer: To set the print area in a sheet, first highlight the cells that you wish to print. In this example, we've highlighted cells B1 to D9.

Then under the File menu, select Print Area > Set Print Area.

Now when you print, only those cells will show up. Below we've included a screen shot of the Print Preview window so that you can see what will be printed.
